Media files

Updated over 5 months ago

The Media Files section is separate from your photo uploads (Photos) and is designed to store all the additional assets you use to customise your galleries and branding on Photohawk.

Media files are not photos intended for sale or sharing with customers. Instead, they are supporting materials that help you design, brand, or protect your galleries.

What Are Media Files?

Media files include any non-photographic assets you upload to enhance your gallery presentation or watermarking. These may include:

  • Watermarks - Security or branding

  • Logos

  • Listing images - Gallery thumbnail photo

  • Event banners - Top of gallery
this can be make clickable to send customers to another website

  • Frames or borders

  • Cover Photo - sits behind the gallery name

  • Any other graphic elements used for design or event branding

These files are stored in your Media section for easy access whenever you’re configuring gallery settings.

Organising Your Media with Folders

To help keep your workspace tidy and easy to navigate, Photohawk allows you to create folders within the Media Files section.

You can organise your assets into categories such as:

  • Watermarks

  • Branding frames

  • Event logos/Sponsor graphics

  • Cover images

  • Portrait vs Landscape overlays

  • Seasonal or event-specific folders

Using folders helps streamline your workflow, making it easier to find the right assets quickly — especially useful for photographers who manage multiple events or branding materials.

Where to Upload Media Files

You can upload and organise your media files by going to:
Dashboard → Media

From here, you can upload, rename, move, or delete files, as well as arrange everything neatly into folders.
