Your gallery will no longer appear in the public cross-gallery search, but it will remain active and accessible through its own direct link.
How do I hide my gallery?
You can manage this within the settings for each individual gallery.
Go to:
Gallery → Settings → General → scroll down to Hidden from Find My Photos
Toggle Hidden from Find My Photos ON.
Once enabled, the gallery will be kept out of the public cross-gallery search on the Photohawk website. You can continue sharing the gallery's direct link with your customers, participants or event organisers as normal.
If you want the gallery to appear in Find My Photos again in the future, simply return to the same setting and toggle it OFF.
Why keep my gallery in Find My Photos?
For most public events, there are benefits to keeping your gallery available within Find My Photos.
It gives customers another way to discover your gallery and find their photographs, particularly if they no longer have the original gallery link.
Keeping your gallery searchable can:
Make your event photography easier for customers to discover.
Help participants find the correct gallery.
Give customers another opportunity to find and purchase their photos.
Increase the visibility of your galleries and potentially generate additional sales.
You can still promote and share your own direct gallery links as normal.
Why might I want to hide a gallery?
We understand that not every gallery needs or should have the same level of public visibility.
You may prefer to hide a gallery from Find My Photos for reasons such as:
School or children's photography.
Private or invitation-only events.
Corporate or closed events.
Events intended for a specific group or audience.
Galleries you don't want to be easily discoverable by competitors.
Events where the organiser has requested more limited visibility.
Any gallery you'd prefer customers to access only through the link you provide.
The setting gives you control over this on a gallery-by-gallery basis.
What happens when I turn the setting on?
When Hidden from Find My Photos is ON:
Your gallery is hidden from Photohawk's public Find My Photos search, but the gallery itself remains available through its direct link.
It does not delete, archive or unpublish your gallery.
Important
Hidden from Find My Photos is a visibility setting, not password protection.
Anyone who has the direct gallery link can still access the gallery. The setting simply prevents the gallery from being surfaced through Photohawk's wider public cross-gallery search.
