Collecting subscribers

Photohawk allows you to collect subscriber details directly from your gallery, helping you build your audience and stay connected with participants after your event.

Enabling Subscriber Collection

To start collecting subscribers:

  1. Go to your Gallery Settings - General

  2. Locate the “Collect Subscribers” option on the right

  3. Toggle this to “Yes, allow visitors to subscribe for updates”

Once enabled, visitors to your gallery will be prompted to subscribe.


Customising the Button Text

You can tailor the messaging to suit your event:

  • Edit the "Subscribe button text" to match your tone or goal
    (e.g. “Get your photos”, “Unlock your gallery”, “Join for updates”)

This helps improve engagement and makes the experience feel more relevant to your audience.


Incentivising Subscribers with Coupons

To encourage more subscribers, you can offer a discount:

  1. Enable “Send coupons to new subscribers”

  2. Choose coupon type "Fixed amount" or "Percentage discount"

  3. Input fixed amount or percentage amount

This is a great way to:

  • Increase sign-ups

  • Drive conversions

  • Reward your audience


When Can You Collect Subscribers?

Subscriber collection works in both:

  • Draft galleries

  • Published galleries

This means you can set everything up and test before going live.


Previewing the Experience

We recommend using the "Preview" feature to see how your gallery will appear to visitors.

This allows you to:

  • Test the subscriber flow

  • Check your button text

  • Ensure everything is working as expected before publishing
