How do Photohawk payouts work?

Photohawk payouts work in one of two ways, depending on whether you use a connected Stripe account or our standard payout system.

If you use a connected Stripe account

If your account is connected to Stripe:

  • Customer payments are processed directly via your Stripe account

  • Photohawk commission and Stripe fees are automatically deducted

  • You receive your net earnings in your Stripe balance

  • Stripe pays out to your bank account based on your Stripe payout schedule

To check payout status, log into your Stripe dashboard


If you do NOT use Stripe (Standard Payouts)

Payouts are handled via our payout partner.


Step 1: Set up your payout account

Before requesting payouts, you must:

  • Go to Payments → Accounts

  • Click Add payment method

  • Complete your payout profile

This is how we collect your bank details to send payouts


Step 2: Understanding your balance

Go to Payments → Balance

You’ll see two statuses:


Pending

  • Orders are still within the settlement period (up to 3 days)

  • Not yet available to withdraw

Available

  • Orders are fully settled

  • Ready to be included in a payout request

You will also see the date and time each order becomes available


Step 3: Request a payout

Once funds are available:

  • Select one or multiple available transactions

  • Or choose all available

  • Click Request payout


Step 4: Track your payout

Go to Payments → Payouts

You’ll see your payout status:


Clock icon

  • Payout has been requested

  • Payment is being processed

  • Can take up to 3 working days

If requested on weekends, this may take until the following week


Tick icon

  • Payout has been processed

  • You’ll receive an email with an estimated arrival date


How long do payouts take?

  • Settlement period: up to 3 days

  • After request: up to 3 working days


Why might my payout be delayed?

Delays can occur due to:

  • Settlement processing

  • Bank processing times

  • International transfers

  • Weekends or public holidays

If your payout hasn’t arrived after 5 working days, please contact:

Include your payout reference number and we’ll investigate for you.



Key Things to Remember

  • You must set up your payout account first

  • Funds must move from Pending → Available before withdrawal

  • You must manually request payouts (non-Stripe users)

  • Processing time starts after you request the payout
